The annual reports from 1970, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1977, and 1978 have been added
to our digital archives. 1976 and 1979 are a larger format, and we are
upgrading our scanning technology to accommodate larger paper documents that we
have in our archives.

Beatrice Foods Annual report, Beatrice/Hunt-Wesson Horizons Newsletters, and
product brochures, located on the 'Stationery Samples' page. We are hoping
that the remaining Beatrice Foods Annual Reports that are in our archives will
be scanned and uploaded.

Today is the new day for our site, as we not only have completely revamped the
look and feel of Beatrice Archives, formerly Beatrice Foods Memorial, but added
many new documents, such as recipes, converted many of our scanned Beatrice
print media advertisements from images to pdf for easier viewing and saving to
your computer. As always, we welcome feedback, and suggestions, and this
site always welcomes material to add to our digital archives to preserve the
history of Beatrice.

Okay, we have quite a few updates to talk about and we have
not been updating this page as often as we should.
Firstly, we have updated the "Ratings, Reviews & Comments"
and "Become a Member" section to where both the Beatrice Foods Memorial and Bell
System Memorial now have their own sections to become a member. Before
they were combined, but now you can become a member on either one, and post
reviews and comments on a particular site. Click

to go to the Testimonials and Member
Site.
We have updated the
Historical Beatrice
Recipes & Brochures page, and added the "La Choy: The Art
and Secrets of Chinese Cookery (1949)", and converted the "The La Choy
Collection of Favorite Oriental Recipes (1984)" to a .pdf document to make the
text searchable. On the
Historical Beatrice
Companies, Inc. Graphics page, we added a sales brochure;
"STUTE Preserves, Honey, Fruit Juices, Bottled Fruits, Diabetic Foods (1987)",
which was part of Beatrice International Foods.

We are in the process of
consolidating our web servers into one system, and the beatriceco.com will be
the parent site. We are going to phase out the porticus.org server, and
all inquiries to porticus.org will transition to beatriceco.com. This
transition will be seamless, and you should not notice any changes, other than
the web URL. However, it will take a couple of months for the web search
engines to update their web crawl. In the meantime, it you have our sites
bookmarked in your favorites, it is recommended that you update the URL's to the
newer system. After December 31st, porticus.org will automatically be
forwarded to
http://www.beatriceco.com/bti/porticus/
Same great information and organization.

Today, our web team spent the day cleaning up broken links throughout the
Beatrice Foods Memorial site, and adding new navigation links that will
assist in allowing you to go through the site with ease. In the coming
days, we will be adding new search tools to help locate various documents.

All new, The Porticus Centre has signed up for VeriSign's
Authentication Services, which will help enhance the security of this site, which
so many have come to rely upon for accurate historical information.

We are currently in the process of updating all of the Beatrice Historical
Financials, and will have the bulk of what we have in our archives scanned
and uploaded to our site by the end of the month. We have upgraded our
scanning technology, and are able to now scan much faster, and our reports
will now feature searchable text.

By popular demand, The Porticus Centre now has "Member's Center". This
is offered through Google, and the link to join is listed on both the
Beatrice and Bell System Memorial web site home pages. This will allow
members to share information with each other relating to Beatrice and Bell,
and is a great resource that we are happy to finally provide for you.

It was just announced today that The Porticus

Three new magazine advertisements that Beatrice had placed back in 1985 and
1986 have been added to this site. One is from Tropicana Products,
Inc. and the other two from Beatrice Meats, Inc., which feature Butterball
turkey. Finding Tropicana or Butterball advertisements was no easy
task, but when we did come across them, we had to add it to the collection
of Beatrice adds. To view the adds,

January 2007
Not much has been updated on the Beatrice Foods Memorial site for a few
month's now, since the integration of the Bell System Memorial web site into
The Porticus Centre. Our intention is to make the entire Porticus
Centre web site easier to navigate and to add more content as time goes by.
For Beatrice, we have quite a bit of material that we want to add in 2007.
One of the nice things about the Bell System Memorial joining the Porticus
Center is that with the original site that was set up, there are ideas that
can be implemented with the other memorial business sites on the Porticus
Centre, including Beatrice. One of these ideas is the "What's New"
page, which will feature announcements of new additions to the Beatrice
Foods Memorial site.
We want to thank all those who have visited this site and for the positive
comments that we received. There may not be much in the area of
Beatrice Foods documentation and history on the web, but we are going to
rectify that.
